All three models in the Micro Mac range of Thrusters or Rod Pushers are designed to be fully portable and capable of operation by one person. Simple to use, no previous experience is required
and they are designed for use by tradesmen, plumber, drainlayer, electrician, water irrigation installers etc. They even suit hire companies and general public hireage.
Product Features:
Three models to choose from ranging from Thrust of 65,389 N to 133,447 N
Micro Mac I and II just 750mm long and Micro Mac III 880mm long.
Micro Mac I and II box body construction and Micro Mac III chrome bar slide construction.
Each model supplied as a complete turnkey package, complete with petrol engined power pack, thrusting rods, range of tooling and 5m of hydraulic hosing.
All models supplied with 20 metres of 0.5m long thrusting rods. Rods on Micro Mac I & II use 40mm x 20mm Hollow Bar Section and Micro Mac III 45mm x 20mm.
All models supplied with water fitting which allows water to be passed at tap pressure down the rod stream for lubrication.
Electric Strike Warning System (Zap Alert) and Earth Mat option available.
Optional Rod Storage box available.
Easy to track rod progress using standard Cable Locators or an optional Directional Sonde Bullet Head is available.
A Look In More Depth:
Offering a more controlled alternative to Moles or Earth Piercers, Micro Mac Thrusters are a tool that is affordable and can be used by a single operator, whether a skilled tradesman, plumber, electrician, drain layer, irrigation contractor etc, or an unskilled DIY operator
Highly portable Micro Mac Thrusters come as a complete turnkey package complete with Power Pack and can be operated from a small Ute or Van with comfort.
All models come complete with a range of tooling, consisting of Pullback Expanders, a 45mm diameter Cone Thrusting Head, a Water Fitting which can be screwed on to the rod stream as required and which allows water to be passed into the rod stream either direct from a standard tap and hosepipe or if available pumped in under pressure to aid Thrusting lubrication.
Micro Macs cannot be lost in the ground like Moles and tracking is possible using conventional cable locators if required, or for operators with Directional Locator Equipment, an optional Bullet Head which houses a Directional Sonde/Transmitter is available.
Micro Macs require a small pit to launch and to exit in and can be installed in the pit using some timber to provide a bearing face for jacking the machine into place using its end jacking plate.
Control is achieved with a single self centering valve lever controlling Thrust and Pullback at variable speed.
Micro Macs can be operated in either direction, through the eccentric cam mechanism, allowing maximum thrust or pullback to be achieved as required.
Installation of wiring, pipes, drainage etc is readily achieved under roads, driveways etc with minimal space required with a machine which is only 750mm long.
Micro Mac Thrusters are suitable for use in soft to medium ground conditions and will displace small obstacles.
Pullback of services is achieved by fitting the required diameter of expander, which is connected to the services which are towed in behind the expander tool. Where larger diameters are required, or where ground conditions are hard, it is possible to carry out the pullback in stages and to open the hole out progressively to size over more than one shot. Where shot lengths in excess of 20 metres are required, it is possible to pick up the rod stream in the ground at a mid point pit and to simply thrust these through the Micro Mac in a mid point pit, without disconnecting any rods, providing an efficient method to carry out longer shots.
